CRYOPDP, part of DHL Health Logistics, received the SAP Digital Transformation Award for Software at the 2025 Supply Chain Excellence Awards in London.

The award recognises the development of Atlas Path, a digital platform that improves the tracking, verification, and management of temperature-controlled shipments.

CRYOPDP‘s IT and R&D teams, in partnership with Applied Blockchain, developed Atlas Path. This initiative utilises Silent Data, a blockchain infrastructure that prioritises privacy.

The system combines IoT sensors, driver and field apps, and a blockchain ledger that records the whole journey of each shipment. It provides real-time status updates, proof of delivery and a complete chain of custody for every package.

The system runs on an Ethereum-based infrastructure. It uses cryptographic proofs to secure operational data and confirm each event in the delivery chain. Silent Data’s zero-knowledge framework verifies logistics information without exposing sensitive commercial or patient details. As a result, CRYOPDP and its partners can securely share key information while remaining compliant with international data protection standards.

Each shipment is monitored through sensors that record temperature, location and handling conditions. These readings are uploaded to the Atlas Path platform, creating a timeline that cannot be changed once entered.

Any deviation automatically generates an alert, allowing operations teams to respond immediately. It’s a capability that strengthens reliability and provides clear, auditable proof of every step in the supply chain.

“Atlas Path started as a bold vision and became a reality thanks to the incredible work of cross-functional teams across multiple countries. This award belongs to everyone who believed, challenged, and built alongside us. And this is only the beginning.”

Lourenço Pereira, IT R&D Manager at CRYOPDP

The project reflects the work of many people who turned an idea into a system now used across CRYOPDP‘s network. Atlas Path is already improving visibility.

It also strengthens data accuracy and day-to-day coordination. Teams handling some of the most time-sensitive shipments in healthcare already rely on the system, which has now received the Atlas Path Award.

CRYOPDP congratulates all the winners and finalists of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards. Their achievements in logistics and innovation deserve recognition.
