CRYOPDP is equipping their logistic operational centres with electric vehicles

Equipping our logistic operational centres with electric vehicles

CRYOPDP is advancing Sustainable Development Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy as part of our commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability. We’re transitioning our logistics fleet to electric vehicles thanks to our partnership with Colitel Transport operation services. This initiative, aligned with our sustainability strategy, equips our Lyon site in France with electric vehicles, primarily aimed at significantly reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable healthcare logistics.

Our temperature-controlled electric vehicles are equipped with a robust 75 kWh battery, powering an efficient engine with a maximum AC load power of 11 kW and a maximum DC load power of 115 kW. The engine delivers an impressive 135 kW (184 horsepower) output, ensuring efficiency and friendly transportation. These vehicles are well-suited for various logistical operations with a maximum driving speed of 90 km/hr,

One standout feature of our electric vehicles is their rapid charging. At 100 kWh ‘fast’ charging station, we can charge the 75 kWh battery from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes for maximum efficiency and convenience. Alternatively, using an 11 kW ‘normal’ charging station, the same process takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

These technical specifications reflect our dedication to cutting-edge logistics technology. Our shift to electric vehicles with rapid charging reduces emissions, enhances efficiency, and marks a significant stride towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Benefits of the newly equipped electric vehicles

The introduction of electric vehicles into our logistics fleet brings several advantages. First, it enables us to optimize routes efficiently using the Watèa app, which ensures customer satisfaction with reduced energy consumption. Moreover, this system offers detailed information on each journey’s recommended terminals and charging times.

Furthermore, our dedication to security remains steadfast. The Watèa app allows us to remotely lock our vehicles, significantly enhancing the overall security of our operations.

In addition to security enhancements, the Watèa management portal now provides insights into our drivers’ vehicle assignment history. This feature streamlines vehicle allocation and usage management, especially in multiple-vehicle scenarios. Moreover, it facilitates sustainable logistics solutions for life sciences.

Lastly, our vehicles are equipped with installed cameras that are conveniently accessible through the Watèa mobile app. This technology simplifies vehicle inspections and provides numerous advantages, including improved monitoring. Efficient information sharing is another benefit. Additionally, it facilitates a transition to paperless documentation.

In summary, our partnership with Colitel operation services and integration of electric vehicles represent significant milestones in our journey towards sustainable logistics and reduced environmental impact. These initiatives align with our corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy, enabling us to contribute positively to Sustainable Development Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy.
